The first week of Life: In which Eliot learns that he is a rock star with 3 adoring siblings fighting to hold and adore him and two very doting adults as well....

and also where proof is given that he has eyes and does not ALWAYS sleep...or eat...just MOSTLY

thanks Leah for a great baby blanket, a lovely background if I do say so..
Gillian is his most ardent fan, holding him whenever she can ...

no baby brother or sister yet- But APPLES

Since it became clear by mid Sunday morning that a baby brother or sister would not be arriving on this day, Daddy convinced us that fresh air and apple picking were just the thing to cheer us up. And he was very very correct. We called our friends and off we went on adventure on a beautiful fall day. yeah fall!

we hung with the goats twice, the second time Gillian really got into it

feeding  the goats and sheeps

Bruce cruising through the hay maze, you could stand on giant bales of hay or run through them

Ollie mostly sat in the stroller and demanded food. he thankfully cheered up later!

picking apples, Lily is getting pretty good at it

mama love

Dan is apparently a miracle worker- everyone is actually LOOKING at the camera AND smiling. wow. and hey mama is HUGELY pregnant (41 weeks to be precise)

our lovely companions, the Archibalds being all adorable- go Harvey and the double fisted apple eating!

look ma a tractor, posing to see how immesnse the wheels were on the tractor that pulled the hay ride to and from the orchards

finished off the event with some overly sugary apple crisp w/ a side of ice cream ,and  honey sticks and sugar highs. Then back to our friends hosue for homemade mac and cheese and other delights! a VERY delightful afternoon and evening was had by all!!

Labor Dy weekend part 1-a walk by the river and soft serve

We took a walk along the river near our house and then later got ice cream (with bbq'd chicken in between). It was a pleasant start to the labor day weekend.

the kids spent a lot of time hiding with grampie to jump out at us, they kept him busy

Labor day weekend part 2- Castle island

Had a lovely afternoon at Castle Island with grammie and grandpa on Labor day, since baby #4 decided not to make an appearance

bonding with the daddy-o at the playground on the island

playground fun with grampie

enjoying the view of tipping sailboats, barges and ferrys after our picnic lunch on the hill. we've been wanting to take grammie and grandpa here and it was a perfect day for it

always climbing, gotta do something while everyone else finishes their lunch

down to the beach to enjoy all its splendors

Ollie threw mud for like 20 minutes, no joke, he LOVED it

an incredible (empty of life) discovery

where are all the good skipping rocks we wonder? (we did find ourselves 2 nice shells)

playing with mom on the beach

back home, explaining the talking carl app on the iphone to grampie

Bruce the first

Bruce the first baby. He has taken on the eldest child role with great seriousness, and is growing up a wee bit too fast for our likes. He is not a fan of crowds but enjoys a good joke, building climbing and perhaps, occasionally being a bit moody and pensive. He's a great big brother and quite the little man...

5, sometimes going on 15, he's so cool in his shades

still a ham when he wants to be, even for the camera

a boy, and his implements of water fun, and some nice surfer hair to boot

the intense eyes...he can be quite competitive with sister, who is always trying to keep up

he's still good for some snuggling and bonding, especially anytime his father sits down ;)

Mr adventure, its not good enough to sit in the carved out seat, climb higher, and look, no hands!

always finding new ways to increase his fun at the playground

recently he has become the lego master, building complex things by himself for hours at a time. I'm certainly impressed
